Shadow Mentorship (On Hiatus)

How can a young person know what they want to do with their life and how they should go about accomplishing it?  Adventures will help you figure this out by matching registered students* with a mentor for a shadow internship. This opportunity could be one of the following:

  • Visit a Nobel laureate’s lab
  • Go behind the scenes on the set of the hit television show “The Big Bang Theory”
  • Follow a tech titan around her startup
  • Research a breaking news story with one of America’s top journalists
  • Spend a week digging for dinosaurs in Montana

These are just a few of the dozens of opportunities that will be made available to students.

Anytime during the twelve-month period before and after the next Camp Adventures of the Mind – April 15th, 2015 through April 14th, 2016.

Adventures will match 2-8 Jr. Adventurers with a Mentor from our faculty of accomplished adult achievers based on your profile, interests and geographic proximity.  The list of mentors is being finalized and will be available to registered students by March 1st of each camp year.  Each student is responsible for their own transportation to the site of the Shadow Mentorship opportunity.

*Qualifying students means that the individual be fully registered for our next summer program AND must meet the criteria established by each mentor. The number of internship slots will vary from year to year and Adventures will do its best to match as many of our campers as possible subject to geographic and scheduling constraints.
