Despite earning master’s degrees in finance and law, Victoria Gray has dedicated her career to education reform as founder of the nonprofit organization Student Achievement & Advocacy Services and its primary program Adventures of the Mind. Ms. Gray is also the founding creator of Take on Money, a finance capability and literacy course for students of all ages. As a complement to her mission to help young people fulfill their potential, she recently joined the board of How I Decide, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to studying and improving the decision-making skills in youths.
Lynette joined the Adventures of the Mind staff in 2009 after volunteering at our first four camps. Lynette is the Administrative Director of Student Achievement & Advocacy Services, the nonprofit organization that runs Adventures of the Mind. She is also the Director of Student Admissions for Adventures and enjoys working with the students, parents, and educators that participate. Prior to 2009, she had a long career in medical/dental administration.
Dominique Broadway is an award winning Personal Finance Coach, Speaker, Finance Expert and the Founder of Finances Demystified & The Social Money Tour. Dominique has received various accolades such as the Top 30 Under 30 in Washington DC, the DC Future Business Leader of American Businessperson of the Year and the Top Financial Advisor for Millennials in the US.
Founder and principal of Mason Jay Blacher & Associates, a Seattle-based management consulting firm to nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S. and abroad. Focusing on long-range planning, board development, and resources.
Daniel joined Adventures of the Mind shortly after the 2011 camp. He has been instrumental in helping design graphic and web elements for distribution to the public and to the amazing students at Adventures.
Debbie Blackstock recently joined Adventures of the Mind as Event Coordinator. Debbie is an experienced collegiate conference services professional who planned, executed and coordinated events with various offices on a University campus. Debbie is a flexible leader, and strong team player who also works independently. She has also assisted other nonprofit organizations with events.
Taj attended Adventures of the Mind in 2014 and joined our staff as a research assistant. He is a sophomore @ The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and is also a playwright.
